“Evangelism Outreach at the 2019 Claremore Fair”

Jesus speaking to His disciples: Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20”.

There will also be a sign-up sheet for a workday on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 for 9:30 am – 11:30 am. At the fair our set up time is on Wednesday afternoon, September 11, 2019. We will be in our booth September 12 – 15, 2019 from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm

If you are participating, we give you thanks, if not please join us. Many Best Choice products are as good as name brands. Please give the UPC symbols to Kathy Fletcher. Thank you.

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED to a "COME AND GO" RECEPTION HONORING JOHN AND JOAN BUSCH. John and Joan arrived at Camp Lutherhoma in June, 1989. LIBRARY NEWS: Paul, Apostle of Christ by Angela Hunt and based on the screenplay by Andrew Hyatt is a novelization of the motion picture starring Jim Caviezel and James Faulkner.

Paul survived many hardships in his life and was imprisoned in this story. He was held in Nero’s bleakest cell in Rome and was waiting execution (Nero was determined to get rid of the Christians living in Rome). Paul was haunted by his past and wondered if anyone remembered him.

Luke, Paul’s friend and physician visited Paul in prison but risked his life every time he did.

Luke resolved to write a book which told of “The Way” – the beginning of the Christian church.

Books donated over the summer were from – Mary Slater, Ruth Ritter, Cyndi Smith, Kathy Iwanaga, Mary Jo Rostek and Heidi Katzer’s sister for the beautiful Bible.

The Junior High Confirmation class will start September 11. 2019. Please notice the time change this year. The classes will start at 4:30 until 6:00 pm. Please make every effort to attend each class. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Ryan.

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE UNTO THE LORD! Redeemer Lutheran Choir will start rehearsal Wednesday, September 4, at 7:00 pm. All singers are welcome to join.

The Braille workers will not meet in September but will start on October 8, at our Savior Lutheran Church, Tulsa. Please consider joining in this worthy mission project. All are welcome!

We have several events that will be coming up this fall that we need volunteers for. October brings Trunk or Treat and that always means lots of candy and lots of trunks. December brings the bell ringers and the Christmas parade. Both need lots of volunteers. If you can help with any of these, please let Marilyn Kirk know.

The Redeemer Lutheran mission quilters will continue to meet at the “white house” to work on quilts for Lutheran World Relief every Monday at 9:00 am. Now is the time to join in this mission project. No sewing experience is needed.

All Church Potluck Picnic is going to be held September 22, 2019, at 5:00 pm at Claremore Lake. Bring your favorite dish, lawn chairs and games and enjoy the fellowship.
