“Grace and Peace to You!”
Often, in the New Testament, Paul’s letters begin with “Grace and peace to you” or something similar. The receiver of this message is immediately drawn closer to the writer as the distance evaporates. Words of comfort, support and more in-depth revelation of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection and eternal life fills the pages of these letters. Believer’s, inspired by the Holy Spirit, gathered together to share the good news of salvation with others.
Paul often concludes his letters by asking for prayers and leaves them this message “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you” or words close to that. Paul opens and closes with a blessing that we can also receive with joy and thanksgiving and share with others.
As Christmas draws closer may we also greet one another with a blessing, loving words, smiles and hugs!
