Redeemer Lutheran's LWML is involved in local, state, and national activities supporting missions, outreach, Bible study and other education and service programs for women. The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
A major emphasis is the support of mission and ministry throughout the world by means of mite box offerings. These mite box offerings have funded tens of millions of dollars in mission grants since the organization's inception. Women from across the Oklahoma district and nation gather offerings for missions. Each biennium mission grants are selected and our Mites support mission work here in Oklahoma and around the world.
The LWML offers special programs for women of all ages including young women and teens. The Redeemer LWML meets monthly and participates in zone, state, and national meetings, retreats, workshops, and conventions. In Claremore, the LWML's annual German Dinner is very popular with the public and raises funds for missions.
"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,
so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Romans 15: 5-6
